
Dr. Kaiser attended the University of Texas at Austin from
which he received a B.S. in Zoology in 1981. He subsequently
attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical
Branch in Galveston and was elected to membership in Alpha-Omega-Alpha,
the Honor Medical Society. He received his M.D. degree in
1985 graduating with High Honors.
He then spent ten years on active duty in the U.S. Navy.
During this time, he completed training at the Naval Aerospace
Medical Institute and was designated a U.S. Naval Flight Surgeon.
He served for four years as Flight Surgeon at Naval Air Station,
Point Mugu, California. He subsequently completed residency
training in Dermatology at Naval Medical Center, San Diego,
and served as staff dermatologist at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune,
North Carolina.
Dr. Kaiser left the Navy in 1995 and returned to his home
state of Texas. He practiced in New Braunfels for one year,
after which he joined the medical staff of Scott & White
Clinic and received an appointment to the Department of Internal
Medicine of Texas A & M Health Science Center as Assistant
Professor. He resigned his position at Scott & White Clinic
in 2002 and joined Balcones Dermatology Associates.
Dr. Kaiser practices all aspects of general dermatology and
has special interests in skin cancer, acne, rosacea, psoriasis
and phototherapy. He enjoys seeing patients of all ages. He
is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a
Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He served as
President of the Austin Dermatological Society in 2005 and
as Secretary-Treasurer in 2004. He has been a member of the
Texas Medical Association since 1985 and is a member of Travis
County Medical Society.
Dr. Kaiser Shares a home with his wife Barb and their daughters,
Emily and Zoe. He enjoys spending time with his family and
out in nature. His hobbies include: hiking, camping, diving,
bird and wildlife watching, photography and writing.
